Flip horizontal or vertical
Mirror a photo left-to-right or turn it upside down with one tap. Turn both on together for a full 180° flip.
Flip an image horizontally or vertically right in your browser, then download the mirrored photo as PNG, JPG, or WebP. This flip image tool works like an instant photo mirror: no software to install, no account to create, and your file never leaves your device.

Processing runs locally in your browser, so a flipped photo is ready to download in seconds, even on a slow connection.
The flipped image downloads as PNG, JPG, or WebP. The output defaults to match your source file, so a JPG stays a JPG unless you pick something else.
Drop an image or choose a file. JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, and HEIC/HEIF files are all accepted.
Toggle the Flip horizontal and Flip vertical buttons to preview the mirrored layout instantly. Use both for a full 180° flip.
Pick an output format if you want to change it, then select Flip image and save the result.
People use flip, mirror, and rotate to mean different things, so it helps to be precise. Flipping reverses an image along an axis: a horizontal flip swaps left and right, exactly like a mirror image, and a vertical flip swaps top and bottom. Nothing in the picture turns sideways in either case.
Rotating, by contrast, turns the whole image around a center point by 90°, 180°, or any angle. A 180° rotation happens to land on the same final picture as flipping both horizontally and vertically, but a 90° rotation is not a flip at all. If you need to turn a photo on its side rather than mirror it, use the rotate image tool instead.
The flipped image keeps your source format by default: a JPG stays a JPG, a WebP stays a WebP, and anything else downloads as PNG. Switch to PNG when the picture has transparency or sharp edges such as text or line art, since PNG introduces no compression artifacts.
Switch to JPG when a smaller file size matters more than lossless detail, such as a photo you plan to share quickly, or to WebP for a good balance of quality and file size in modern browsers.
The flip happens entirely in your browser, using canvas drawing that runs on your own computer or phone. Your photo is never uploaded to a server, which also means any EXIF or GPS location data embedded in the original file is not carried over to the download, a side effect of local processing that happens to be a privacy plus if you plan to share the flipped image.
No. A flip only mirrors the pixels along one axis; the width and height stay exactly the same as the original photo.
Not in one step on this page. Flip the image here, download it, then open the rotate image tool if you also need to turn it to a specific angle.
Yes. Any text in the image mirrors along with the rest of the picture, so it reads backward after a horizontal flip. If your photo is mostly text, flipping may not be what you want.
No. The flip happens in your browser, and the image never leaves your device.
